Engineering Services/Nuclear: Chernobyl (D&D) MPR personnel were invited by the Ukrainian government to participate in an
International Jury to review entombment proposals for the damaged Chernobyl reactor.
Only two US firms were represented on the Jury. The other firm was GPU based on their
TMI-2 experience. As part of this jury, proposals of numerous organizations were submitted
and reviewed. The U.S. report emphasized stabilizing the unit to minimize further
radioactivity release.
